Condition: some soiling and wear, minimal holes not affecting text. [With:] [Megillah Esther]. N.p.: n.d. [late 19th century?]. manuscript on hide . (3450 x 210 mm). Written in Hebrew characters on leather hide between two verticals, ruled in brown ink, 7 membranes, 22 columns, 18 lines, on a polished wooden roller. Condition: hide with some stains and soiling; some chips with loss to handle. a fine set of two megillah scrolls. The Book of Esther or the Megillah is central to the Jewish celebration of Purim. Its full text is read aloud twice during the celebration, once in the evening and again the following morning.
