Condition: some light dampstaining and foxing, repair to tear of one plate; slight rubbing to boards. rare large-paper copy of the first edition of harris' important lexicon. Compiled by the Secretary of the Royal Society, Harris drew on the work of Halley, Boyle, Newton and others to create his Lexicon. The subscriber list in the second volume indicates that approximately only 30 copies of the large paper edition were ordered.
