Philadelphia: Allen, Lane and Scott, 1897. 8° (202 x 138mm). 89pp., 2 half tone plates. (Title detached, discolouration to margins of pp.11-14.) Original blue and white cloth with the initial ‘P’ on front cover (light soiling, slightly rubbed at extremities). Provenance : C.J. Patterson (front free endpaper with presentation inscription from the author dated 3.9.97) – W.J. Hole (the same leaf with further inscription: ‘Given to W.J.Hole by Geo. S. Patterson Esq. February 1939’) -- K.A. Auty (the same leaf further inscribed ‘Given to K.A. Auty Esq. by W.J. Hole Philadelphia July 1950 with best regards’ and with Auty’s ownership stamp).
