Beschreibung:

Gorham Manufacturing Co. Sterling Silver Mounted English Wheel Engraved Cameo Glass Swan's Head Perfume Flask Attributed to Thomas Webb & Sons, circa 1885 In translucent aqua blue colored glass cased in opaque white, glass marked Rd 11109. Length 8 1/2 inches. C
The flask appears to be in generally good condition with the following exceptions: there are approximately five very small almost imperceptible smaller than pin head size nicks to the surface of the glass, notably, in the beak area, however, not of any consequence and really become visible only when a strong light is held to the glass; there is one somewhat larger nick to the beak area, located on the left side of the flask, in the center area of the two long parallel lines of the opaque white glass that form the upper and lower parts of the beak; there is an area of white coloration on the interior side of the tip of the beak that does not appear to be made of opaque white glass (the casing does not seem to include an inner layer of white) and may be some kind of residue; when the tip of the beak is viewed it appears that one of the nostrils is almost transparent (clear) whereas the other nostril is much more in the blue coloration; when the silver cap is removed there is no internal cork or glass stopper; there are a few inconsequential dings or small dents to the cap, not very noticeable and not really of any consequence
