Beschreibung:

GOLDFINGER, 1964 A 1937 Phantom III Rolls-Royce from the film, Goldfinger , coachwork by Barker & Co. Ltd. of London, Chassis No. 3BU 168, with twelve cylinder dual ignition, 7.4 litre engine, finished in yellow and black. This car was custom built for the Rt. Hon. Lord Fairhaven, Anglesey Abbey, Cambridge, England. The car was owned by him until 1962 when it was purchased by Eon Productions for the movie Goldfinger . Goldfinger was the third James Bond adventure staring Sean Connery. The suave spy's objective was to terminate criminal capitalist Auric Goldfinger and foil his plan to contaminate Fort Knox's gold with atomic radiation, a strategy that would dramatically increase the value of Goldfinger's own hoard. With the help of the usual bevy of beautiful women and ingenious gadgets, 007 spoils Goldfinger's fun. It was on the folding desk in the rear seat that Goldfinger wrote Bond's check after the memorable golf match. Later in the film the car is featured predominently in chase scenes through the Swiss Alps.
