Original three-ring album with black leather-grain boards, gilt-titled, pictorial endpapers. 13 x 18 inches; 24 8 x 10 inch gelatin silver prints and 31 4 x 10 inch gelatin silver prints, mounted to stiff card within printed pictorial border, with ink captions beneath each and typed text on mounted card. Boards a bit rubbed with minor surface soiling and traces of damp, also at edges of leaves but not affecting images or text. An apparently unrecorded photographic record of a sporting holiday to the Sea Islands of Georgia. The high-quality photographs depict yachting on board the Zapala, a deer hunt, horseback riding, visiting ruins, pheasant hunting, a barbecue on Ossabaw, views of the houses and ruined mansions, formal portraits of the party, and informal shots of the swimming pool and other areas of the house. The accompanying text (typed on 21 cards) gives a narrative of the events and setting in verse.
