George Jones & Sons Majolica Cobalt-Blue Ground 'Empty Nest' Game-Pie Dish and Cover Circa 1878 Impressed monogram and crescent mark, L 7 and x indistinct impressed registry diamond recorded as 27 December 1873, parcel - 7 black painted shape no. 3416, J to the base and cover Oval, the shallow domed cover with a quail resting among foliage, the tureen with branch handles and fruiting oak terminals, both sides molded in relief with a hare and two bunnies.
