Allison & Co., Inc., New York, affixed to the backing. Lithograph on paper, image size 18 3/8 x 20 1/8 in. (46.5 x 51.0 cm), framed. Condition: Gentle rippling, not examined out of frame. N.B. The subject is lawn tennis at The Newport Casino, and focuses more upon the sumptuous spectators than the match. Bellows and his family spent several summers in Rhode Island. This is one of the earliest works printed by Bolton Brown, marking the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration.
