Bernheimer on front free endpaper: "To Earle from Robert, before publication, 1943, March" (April 5 was publication day), illustrated; The Poems of...[1946], cloth, dust jacket (slightly frayed at top of spine) , First Modern Library Edition, contains the first appearance of the introductory essay "The Constant Symbol" by Frost, INSCRIBED BY THE POET at the end of the essay (on p. xxiv): "Robert Frost to Earle Bernheimer, Beverly Hills 1947"--[FROST]. W.S. BRAITHWAITE, editor . Anthology of Magazine Verse for 1920, Boston [1920], cloth-backed boards, fore-corners slightly worn , contains the first book appearance of Frost's poem "Place for a Third" (pp. 103-5), SIGNED BY FROST at end, also signed by Louis Untermeyer at the end of his contribution--[FROST]. The Poetry Quartos, 1929, 12 pamphlets, 8vo, pictorial wrappers, dust jacket , each one of 475 copies, includes contributions by Frost, Vachel Lindsay, E.A. Robinson, "H.D.," Elinor Wylie, Dreiser, William Rose Benét, Aiken, Frost's poem, "The Lovely Shall Be Choosers," is INSCRIBED BY THE POET on the flyleaf: "Robert Frost, South Shaftsbury, Vermont, August 1, 1937, For Earle Bernheimer," Benét's contribution is inscribed by him; New York, except as noted, together 16 vols., 12mo-8vo, original bindings, in five black cloth slipcases , FIRST EDITIONS, unless otherwise stated.
