A collection of 25 autograph letters and manuscripts signed by writers including: Victorien SARDOU (three letters including one to 'Mario' asking his opinion of a singer); Claude FARRÈRE (to Comtesse Nourgé Rohozvasky, thanking her 'pour ces deux choses si jolies et si turques, si chères à mon coeur de bon musulman', 1909); Jules SIMON (a polite but damning reply to an unidentified lady commenting on her manuscript on philosophy, 'Vous parlez des philosophes grecs, et vous oubliez le plus grand, Aristote. Vous qualifiez Molière en disant: raillerie fine et piquante. Cela ne rassemble guère à Molière'); Joséphin Soulary (on being included in a 'Panthéon des hommes d'aujourdhui', 1887); Rosny aîné (i.e. Joseph-Henri Boex, giving on a typed questionnaire his literary preferences); Gabriel Vicaire (two letters)
