Francisco de Goya y Lucientes (1746-1828) Bien te se está ('It serves you right') (Delteil 125; Harris 126) etching with engraving, Harris's state I i, an exceptionally rare working proof before letters and numbers (Harris records one other example, in the Berlin Kupferstichkabinett), a fine impression, on heavy laid paper, with wide margins, the number 14 in pen and ink in the upper right corner, the artist's name and a price (5/-) in pencil in the lower margin, a crease across the upper left sheet corner (outside the platemark), minor soft creasing elsewhere, remains of old adhesive (?) in the right margin, pale scattered foxing, remains of old adhesive on the reverse at the upper sheet edge where previously mounted P. 144 x 205 mm., S. 220 x 320 mm.
