Four late 18th/early 19th century gold mourning rings and Comprising: one of black enamel hoop design with white enamel borders with the legend LADY. HAWKINS. OB: 18. JUNE. 1793. AE: 66, hallmarked London 1793 ; one a broad hoop with black enamel borders and the legend IN MEMORY OF , the interior engraved John Wightwick died 27 Dec. 1816 Aged 75, hallmarked London 1816 ; an 18ct. gold black enamel band with the legend IN MEMORY OF and floral engraved borders, the interior engraved Jas. Wood, Esq: who died 24 Feb: 1820 Aged 85, hallmarked London 1819 ; an 18ct. gold band with black enamel detail and the legend IN MEMORY OF , the interior engraved D.G aged 86, hallmarked London 1865 ; and a George III neo-classical gold mourning ring, the navette shaped bezel with sepia, hair and enamel miniature depicting a sepulchral amphora with gilt detail beneath a willow tree, the reverse engraved Mary Henderson Ob 1 Nov. 1783 aet. 63 (5)
