Casino Royale, From Russia with Love, Doctor No ... with an Introduction by Paul Gallico, New York: The Macmillan Company, 1961. 8°, half title, original blue and black cloth lettered in gilt (spine lightly rubbed), dust-jacket (repaired with some loss at head and foot of backstrip, creased). PRESENTATION COPY, the front free endpaper inscribed, "To Albert D. Cohen, Man of Action! from Ian Fleming " With 6 typed letters, signed, from Ian Fleming to Albert D. Cohen, dated variously between 14 September 1961 and 25 April 1963: " ... The maddening thing is that I was in Japan between 14th and 29th November, and though I was travelling a secret route in pursuit of James Bond way down south, it crossed my mind from time to time to ring up Sony and see if by chance you were in the country ..." " ... I have no particular plans for this year and I am afraid no hope of visiting Canada, but the Bond saga buzzes merrily along and I am at present in the throes of correcting the next one which I am sure will amuse you as it is set in Japan ...", with 9 other letters to Ian Fleming (photocopies) and a relevant newspaper cutting.
