Die großformatigen Kupfer entstanden nach Zeichnungen von J. Ibmayer und zeigen überwiegend Blattzweige und blühende Kätzchen, in sorgfältigem und detaillierten Originalkolorit. Es erschien nur dieser erste Band des Werkes, ein geplanter zweiter Band ist nie erschienen, obgleich davon bereits 53 Illustrationen vorlagen.
