Fine Collection of Musical CDVs Showing Duos and Large Bands Posed with their Instruments, Lot of 10

Lot of 10 CDVs, featuring subjects such as: A well-dressed couple seated on either side of a skirted table topped with a floral arrangement. The man plays an accordion, while the woman is posed with a guitar, held upright. Credited on verso to H. Bird of Stourbridge. Two men in bowler hats each playing a stringed instrument: the man at left holds a violin, while the man at right strums a banjo. Credited on verso to F.W. Shepherd, Axminster. A group of five men arranged in an interior space Three are seated, and the central figure wears a plaid shirt and holds what appears to be a zither. He is flanked by two men in slightly more formal attire, each posed with a violin. Their two standing companions bear no instruments, but rather hold cigars clamped in their teeth. A pair of men in loudly-patterned clothing appear seated on the floor wearing tall, conical hats. The first wears checked trousers with a vertical side stripe and plays a banjo, while the second wears a polka dotted jacket and brandishes a tambourine. Inscription on verso notes that one of the subjects “Died October 23rd 1906, Aged 54 years.” Credited to Epsom Portrait Studios, a “Landscape and Architectural Photographer.” A trio of men in dark suits gathered around a table, taken by German photographer Louis Schindhelm, ca 1900s. Two men are seated at a sturdy wooden table and appear to play flat stringed instruments. A third man stands between them, gazing directly at the viewer and holding a cigarette. Two outerwear-clad men, each with a brimless hat and loose ascot. One man holds a violin, while the second poses with a rifle and a dog seated to his left. Provenance:Steve Roden Collection: Music in Vernacular Photographs Condition: Spotting, slight discoloration, and wear to edges, some with corner loss.
