FIELD, John -- Bibliotheca Historionica. A Catalogue of the Theatrical and Miscellaneous Library of Mr. John Field in which are contained several interesting specimens of the Early Drama . London: Sotheby's, 22 January 1827. 8 o (210 x 140 mm). Modern calf-backed boards. Provenance : contemporary manuscript note: "Lots Purchased in the name of Webster were bought for James Winstone, Esq." PRICED WITH BUYERS' NAMES in a contemporary hand. The Shakespearean section included the first editions of Midsommer Night's Dream and The Merchant of Venice, 1600, and the first four Shakespeare Folios (the first with a facsimile title); there was also a presentation copy of Ben Jonson's Sejanus .
