Legatura settecentesca in pergamena su piatti in cartone, dorso a cinque nervi con titolo e fregio vergati in inchiostro bruno. Ex libris nobiliare al contropiatto anteriore, il medesimo scudo è ripetuto con timbri al frontespizio. Prima rarissima edizione di questo trattato redatto da Giovanni Battista Ferraro, importante personalità della prima accademia equestre napoletana, e tutt'oggi considerato uno dei padri dell'equitazione mondiale. L'opera è divisa in quattro libri: il primo tratta dell'alimentazione e della riproduzione del cavallo, il secondo libro è invece dedicato all'estetica del cavallo, all'abbigliamento del cavallerizzo e allo sviluppo dei puledri. First and very rare edition of this treatise by the Master at the first Neapolitan riding school Giovanni Battista Ferraro, considered one of the fathers of equitation. The work is divided in four books: the first one concerns the nutritional needs and the reproductive cycle of the horses, the second book is devoted to the beauty of the horses, to the equestrian clothing and to the foals' development. The third and the fourth parts deal with horse diseases and their remedies.
