Original linen-backed boards by Galwey & Co., Dublin, upper board lettered in black (spine slightly darkened, corners lightly rubbed, small stains at fore-edges). Provenance : H.H. Burton, November 1931 (pencilled inscription on flyleaf; small pencil sketch on final blank). FIRST EDITION, NO.319 OF 350 COPIES. WITH A 3-LINE INSCRIPTION BY W.B. YEATS: 'Since writing the introduction to this book I have written two "Noh" plays of my own WB Yeats 1917'. Gallup Pound (1983) A12; Wade Yeats (1968) 269.
