Chancery 2 o (265 x 189 mm). Collation [1-7 8 8 1 0 ]. 65 leaves (of 66; without final blank). 31 lines. Gothic type 1:120. 2- to 4-line initial spaces. (Some browning and staining.) Vellum binding from a ?14th-century manuscript. Provenance : F.T. Marsh (ink stamp on front paste-down) -- J.M. Wilson (ink notation) -- Estelle Doheny (paper bookplate; purchased from Maggs Bros., London, 31 August 1944) -- donated to SMS 1944. Second edition of a popular collection of works on St. Jerome. It is one of only a few books printed by the first and only printer at Blaubeuren in the fifteenth-century, and his activity there spanned only 3 years (1475-77); he employed a single type-fount, which evolved in a minor way.
