Strassburg: [Georg Husner], 14 March 1500. Chancery 2° (270 x 195mm). Gothic type, double column, initial spaces, printed guide-letters. (Slight browning, faint dampstains to margins, two or three small wormholes catching a few letters, several small marginal wormholes at end.) 19th-century quarter vellum, speckled edges, title in ink on spine. Provenance : early marginal annotations -- S. Hamer collation mark on end pastedown, dated 24 January, 1972, Fredericksburg, Virginia -- Ned J. Nakles (sale Christie's New York, 17 April 2000, lot 140). A combined edition of the two most important and influential histories of the early Church.
