Eton College, Trial Eights, award medals (2), unsigned, in silver, named (C.A. Willis, 1899), 38mm (D & W 196), with shield listing Willis as no. 7 in C.H. Taylor’s crew, and in bronze, named (C.A. Willis, Capt, 1899), 38mm (D & W 196), with shield listing Willis’s crew; Cambridge University Officer Training Corps, a bronze award medal by Munsey & Co, named (Inter-Company Night Marching Competition, 1911, won by A. Coy. Team, Leslie W. Wood), 51mm; Cambridge University Boat Club, Trial Eights, a bronze award medal by Munsey & Co, with 1912 clasp and shield with names of the crew, including L.W. Wood at no. 5 in the boat, 51mm; Henley Regatta, Wyfold Challenge Cup, a silver-gilt award medal by J. Pinches, named (Leslie W. Wood, 1912) [3]. First very fine and brightly polished, others brilliant mint state; in cases of issue £90-120 Footnote 2nd Lt Leslie William Wood, 3rd Bn South Lancashire Regt and 2nd/7th Bn Royal Warwickshire Regt, was killed in action on 19 July 1916 and is listed on the Loos memorial. He studied at Queen’s College, Cambridge
