Elizabeth's coronation was a grand affair, celebrated over almost two months between February and April, 1742. This fete book records the details of the various ceremonies, with engravings of the royal crown (which Elizabeth is said to have placed on her own head), scepters, thrones, several large folding plates of royal processions, and a mezzotint of the fireworks display.
