Elfköpfiger Avalokiteshvara — Tibet, um 1900 — Der barmherzige Bodhisattva wird auf einem Lotossockel stehend mit elf Köpfen und acht Armen dargestellt, drei Reihen mit je drei Köpfen mit halbgeschlossenen Augen tragen prachtvolle fünfzackige Kronen und große Ohrgehänge, sie werden bekrönt durch einen Mahakala-Kopf und den Kopf des Buddha Amitabha als Abschluss, die Hauptarme sind angewinkelt, die Hände umfassen das wunscherfüllende Juwel (cintamani), die anderen Hände tragen weitere Attribute wie Lotosblüte, Pfeil mit Bogen, Vase der Langlebigkeit. Bronze mit wenig Farbfassung. H. 63 cm. - Aus dem Nachlass Editha Leppich (1904-1992). // Eleven-headed Avalokiteshvara — Tibet, around 1900 The merciful Bodhisattva is depicted standing on a lotus base with eleven heads and eight arms, three rows of three heads each with half-closed eyes wearing magnificent five-pointed crowns and large earrings, they are crowned by a Mahakala head and the head of Buddha Amitabha as a finial, the main arms are bent, the hands embrace the wish-fulfilling jewel (cintamani), the other hands carry further attributes such as lotus blossom, arrow with bow, vase of longevity.
