EISENHOWER, Dwight D., President . Photograph inscribed and signed ("Dwight D Eisenhower") as President, Washington, D.C., ca. 1955. 12 x 9½ in., framed . A good portrait of Eisenhower, apparently seated at his White House desk, pen in hand, BOLDLY INSCRIBED to John Roosevelt in lower margin: "For John A. Roosevelt with best wishes and warm regard. Dwight D. Eisenhower " -- EISENHOWER. Typed letter signed ("D.E.") as President to John A Roosevelt, [Augusta, Ga.], 6 December 1956. 1 page, on White House stationery, framed with the brass medal mentioned in the letter . Eisenhower writes: "A good friend of the National Citizens for Eisenhower-Nixon has made available to me a number of copies of a special medallion. Because of your association with that organization, it occurred to me that you might like to have one...as a suitable keepsake of the 1956 political campaign, in which both you and I had a particular interest." The brass medallion bears a relief portrait of Eisenhower, 2.38 in. in diameter. Together two framed items. (2)
