And here it is so wonderful that in spite of illness I am delighted with it -- I too came here against the wishes of the doctors'; they are reading Schopenhauer and Plato and enjoying the coastal scenery, and if Eduard still has time, he should come, but ' Don't ask the doctors! They are the successors of the priests, who rule over us in the name of our corpses '; it was absurd to have stuck Eduard in a sanitorium and encouraged his 'hypochondria'.
