Selection of images by various East German photographers. 1960s - 1970s. 21 vintage (most ferrotyped) gelatin silver prints. Various sizes between 24 x 18 cm and 45 x 55 cm. Most prints either signed by the photographer and/or with photographer's stamp and with typed exhibtion label affixed to the verso. An interesting collection of fine prints by important East German photographers such as Sibylle Bergemann (1941 - 2010) and Evelyn Richter (b. 1930), as well as Ernst-Ludwig Bach , Wolfgang Barth (2), Karl-Heinz-Blei , Heinz Dargeles , Klaus Ender , Christel Lehmann , Peter Meissner (3), Lotti Ortner-Röhr (2), Manfred Uhlenhut and Gerhard Weber . Includes a wide range of subjects such as landscapes, portraits, nudes and abstract studies and many large-format prints. The prints were shown at an exhibition of East German photography at the Goethe Institute in France. – Some prints with edge wear and crease marks, side edges strongly curled, some corners with loss, otherwise most prints in good to very good condition.
