First (and only) German edition of Durante's popular herbal, and the only non-Italian edition. Woodcut historiated title border and numerous woodcuts in text, ALL COLORED IN A CONTEMPORARY HAND. Instead of the Durante woodcuts, the publishers substituted the Gesner/Camerarius blocks. Nissen BBI 570. Provenance : Early inscription on front flyleaf -- "P.
