DR. GEORGE MURRAY LEVICK (1876-1956) A small collection of printed stationery, [circa 1910], comprising: three bifolium sheets of B.A.E. Terra Nova writing paper, and three matching envelopes, all unused, each with embossed badge; and B.A.E. manifold or copy book, manufactured by Megson & Son Ltd. of Manchester . 4° (272 x 222mm)., with 100 leaves numbered 601-700, headed British Antarctic Expedition and with space for date, but otherwise blank, interleaved with thin 99 sheets of thin red-ruled paper numbered 602-700, headed as the thicker leaves. (Thin leaf 601 removed, thin leaf 602 inscribed in ink Levick British antarctic expedition 1910 United Service Hotel Christchurch New Zealand , some spotting.) Original limp cloth (some old [?antarctic] dampstaining). Provenance: Dr. George Murray Levick, R.N. (surgeon and zoologist). The manifold book was designed for use with carbon paper, however the first unlined sheet shows an unfortunately unreadable note in an unidentifiable hand where, through accident or design, carbon was not used before the now missing original was penned.
