Doves Press.- Catalogue Raisonné of Books printed and published at the Doves Press 1900-1916, one of 150 copies on paper, printed in red and black, portrait frontispiece (with small spot to image), leather book-label of Haven O'More, handsomely-bound in russet morocco, gilt, by T.J.Cobden-Sanderson at the Doves Bindery, upper cover titled and dated in gilt within gilt strapwork frame incorporating a Tudor rose with leaves in oval intersections and rose leaves at corners, lower cover with identical frame, spine titled in gilt with gilt rules and leafy decorations in compartments and seven raised bands, signed "19 C-S 17" on rear turn-in, g.e., preserved in modern cloth drop-back box, a fine copy, [Tidcombe DP40], 4to, Doves Press, 1916. ⁂ A superb binding similar to that on the same book in Tidcombe's Doves Bindery No.796; although that was in dark blue morocco the tooling is identical.
