Beschreibung:

Dom Perignon Rose Oenotheque 1985 Dom Perignon Rose Oenotheque 1985 Champagne Disgorged in 2006 Lot 132 △ 2 bts (2 cn) per lot: USD 2250-3000 Collectors have a unique opportunity to acquire perfectly cellared Dom Perignon Oenotheque and Rose Oenotheque from vintages spanning four decades, beginning with bottles and magnums of the stunning 1966. Other rarities include magnums of 1978, 1982, 1988 and 1990 and the first ever release of magnums of the 2002 Rose. The Oenotheque label indicates that a Dom Perignon vintage has reached its peak in maturity and it is only the Cellar Master who can determine when the wine has reached that optimal stage in its evolution. Only then will it be released as an Oenotheque. To guarantee its excellence, each and every Oenotheque bottle is tasted at disgorging by a Dom Perignon winemaker. This small but remarkable parcel was recently shipped from Dom Perignon's cellars in Epernay, imported to the United States by Moet Hennessy USA, Inc and delivered to Sotheby's in New York by Dom Perignon's distributor Empire Wine Merchants. Dom Perignon is the archetypal prestige cuvee Champagne, basking in the name of the creator of its own category, the inspired Benedictine monk. Its ethereal beauty deepens into magnificent complexity with bottle age, taxing any taster's vocabulary. The finesse of bubble and very long finish are signature elements of Dom Perignon and the brilliance of Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy is evident with every sip. This is a tantalising "taster" of some of Dom Perignon's greatest gems. Serena Sutcliffe, MW. △ Property in which Sotheby's has an Ownership Interest Lots with this symbol indicate that Sotheby's owns the lot in whole or in part or has an economic interest in the lot equivalent to an ownership interest. Quantity: 1
