Folio, 1½ pp., with docketed integral blank. 14x9". Concerning Navy business, and authorizing payment of 5475 pounds which was late in payment because of the great London fire of 1666. Signed by three of Charles II's ministers, two of whom (Ashley and Clifford) were on the council's Committee for Foreign Affairs or the so-called Cabal Ministry. Lord Ashley was Chancellor of the Exchequer. Sir Clifford was Comptroller of the Household and Lord High Treasurer. The Duke of Albemarle was First Lord of the Treasury. Also included in this lot is a manuscript English contract on vellum, dated 1618. 14½x18½", in frame. Lot Amendments Condition: First document with some dampstain, rubbing to folds and a little soiling, light edge-wear; manuscript transcription included. Second document with two small holes, unexamined outside of frame. Overall, about very good. Item number: 165609
