Striking hand-colored reproductions of the woodcut illustrations by the anonymous "Master of the Lübeck Bible" who flourished in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, a Flemish manuscript illuminator and printmaker, named for this series of woodcuts he designed for a Bible printed in Lübeck, Germany, in 1494. Lot Amendments Condition: Spine well worn, partially perished, ribs exposed, joints cracked, edges rubbed; internally fine, very rare in the original limited edition. Item number: 226847
