London: Bradbury and Evans, March 1852- September 1853. 20 parts in 19, original blue-green pictorial printed wrappers, uncut, spine rebacked or repaired, with a number chipped at ends, a few repairs to front wrapper of part 1, spine chipped on part 4, rear wrapper of part 8 detached, piece chipped from front wrapper fore-edge of part 15, green half morocco folding case. FIRST EDITION IN ORIGINAL PARTS, 40 etched plates by Hablot K. Browne (nearly all browned, mostly marginal), with the Bleak House Advertiser in all parts, the scarce "The Village Pastor" leaflet in part 15, and most of the other inserted advertisements and slips noted in Hatton & Cleaver, pp. 275-304.
