Description In 1978, Porsche introduced the new version of the 911, called the ‘911SC’. Porsche reintroduced the SC designation for the first time since the 356SC (as distinguished from the race engined 356 Carrera). There was no Carrera version of the 911SC. The “SC” stands for “Super Carrera”. It featured a 3.0-litre engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5-speed 915 transmission. Originally power output was 180 bhp, later 188 bhp and then in 1981 it was increased to 204 bhp. In 1981 a Cabriolet concept car was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The convertible body design also featured four-wheel drive, although this was dropped in the production version. This remarkable example of the 1982 911SC, with higher output to the earlier iterations of the SC, has had only one previous owner from new! So fastidious was the nature of its ownership, that the car still retains original features and paperwork such as its original window sticker, purchase order, odometer statement when sold new, owner’s manual, service and maintenance book, original replacement key card, Palisander Metallic (474) touch-up paint stick (still liquid and in perfect condition), antenna key, and DOM key bag spare key, complete toolkit, space saver and jack. This car has been very well taken care of its whole life. The paint is in great condition. It was repainted with windows out in the original Palisander Metallic (Rosewood Metallic). All body panels are original. Front trunk area is in excellent rust free and accident free condition. Clean CarFax. All factory spot welds in the front trunk, floors, and rear are all present and original. Floors and rockers are in excellent rust-free condition. This car still has its original factory original front and rear Porsche spoilers. The interior is 100% all original including the radio. Seats are in good condition. The leather is still soft and supple. The rear seats and parcel shelf are in excellent condition. The headliner is also in good condition without any rips. Mechanically this car is in excellent condition. The previous owner did a top end rebuild, new tires, rebuilt brakes, new chain tensioners, clutch, and turbo tie rod ends. This 911SC drives very well! Lots of power! Car shifts very smoothly. Brakes are perfect. All electronics work including the sunroof, windows, mirrors, lights, and defroster. It does not smoke or leak any oil. It starts up on the single turn immediately every time. This is a nicely sorted 911SC in very nice condition that is coming with the complete set of original books, tools, jack, and original purchase paperwork.
