Description: A selection of WW1, WW2, and later military and home front related items. To include: a 1918-62 General Service Medal with clasp for Malaya - awarded to 4170592 L.A.C. T.Whitson R.A.F. (Edge bruise at 5 o’clock position). Also, a WW1 Silver War Badge, numbered 231742, relating to 3645 Pte Edward Michael Ball of the 6th Reserve Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Pte Ball enlisted on December 18th 1914, but by March 16th 1915 he was discharged at the age of 50, with the reason being that it he would ‘not likely become an efficient soldier’. He never served outside the U.K. and the SWB would appear to be his only entitlement. Plus, 2 x WW2 silver ARP badges, a pre WW2 silver Royal Army Reserve lapel badge, a WW2 era silver and enamel Civil Nursing Service Badge by Gaunt, post WW2 RAF cap badges, a WW2 Royal Engineers cap badge, and other badges / coins. 21 items.
