No.30889, Hallmarked for London 1867 Three quarter plate movement with Keyless winding by Octave Vivier, Patent No. 158, January 21, 1860, the fusee with Earnshaw maintaining power and with Earnshaw spring detent escapement mounted on a polished steel plate with blued steel helical hairspring, plain cock with diamond endstone and bimetallic balance with gold timing and temperature weights the winding mechanism is engaged when the push piece in the case band between one and two o-clock is depressed and also with a small slide piece at twelve o-clock which engages the hand-set mechanism but only when the cover is open, the half/quarter repeating mechanism striking on two gongs is operated by a slide in the band, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, signed: Dent 61 Strand & 54 Royal Exchange London 30889. blued steel spade hands with subsidiary dial with blued steel seconds hand at IX the heavy 18ct gold three piece full hunter case with lion rampant engraved on the front outer cover and Hallmarked for London 1867 with casemakers mark LN for Louis Norbier (Nicole & Norbier) 55mm.
