Dabei erläutert und kritisiert De Luc die theoretischen Arbeiten der wichtigsten Autoren des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts zur Hydrodynamik (in Bezug auf die Konstruktion und Theorie von Barometern). Darüber hinaus werden Bernoulli und Leibniz en Abschnitt des Textes hinweist). Im Zusammenhang mit dieser Diskussion führt er den Begriff der latenten Wärme in die Physik ein. - Seiten nur minimal gebräunt bzw. fleckig. Insgesamt noch gutes breitrandiges Exemlplar.
