The lithograph appeared in "The Holy Land, Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt and Nubia" by Roberts. David Roberts (1769-1864), active in London, was one of the first painters in the 19th century who came to the Middle East and published and shared its views with the European audience. Roberts prepared quick sketches "In Situ" using watercolors, and later produced lithographs available to the public. Lithograph: 33X49 cm. Without margins (the margins were cut). Mounted on a thick paper board: 44X62 cm. Good condition. Some stains. Adhesive tape marks at margins.
