Luignon 1844, his bust right with foppish hair, wearing jacket and loose cravat, his name behind head, “Le Jeune Boverie” and before, “Conservatoire Royale de Musique”, 205mm., in high relief and somewhat in the style of David D’Angers, some verdigris stains PIERRE ANTOINE HIPPOLYTE BONNARDEL (FRENCH, 1824-1856): A CAST BRONZE PORTRAIT MEDALLION OF AN UNKNOWN MAN OF MEDICINE, dated 1850, his bearded head to left, a monogram before him and caduceus behind, signed in 2 lines below “H. BONNARDEL LONDRES. MDCCCL”; the plain reverse with the raised Paris foundry mark of “Eck & Durand”, 178mm. -DAVID D'ANGERS (FRENCH 1788-1856): THREE PORTRAIT RELIEFS TOGETHER WITH ANOTHER PIERRE-JEAN DAVID CALLED DAVID D'ANGERS (FRENCH 1788-1856): PORTRAIT OF PIERRE-JEAN DE BÉRANGER (1780-1857), poet and songwriter, seemingly a mid-19th century cast made by the electrotype process with lead covered reverse, his bust in high relief left, signed below truncation 'DAVID' and dated 1830, 67mm, mounted in a square mahogany frame, 126mm. AFTER PIERRE-JEAN DAVID CALLED DAVID D'ANGERS (FRENCH 1788-1856): PORTRAIT OF LOUIS ANTOINE LEON DE SAINT-JUST (1767-1794), cast metal medallic tribute plaquette to St Just, French Revolutionary, military and political leader, “L' Archange de la Terreur”, member and president of the National Convention, the youngest of the deputies elected, his head to left wearing high collar and cravat, his name behind, signed ‘David’ below truncation, 168mm., foundry signature of Eck & Durand, smooth grey patination; Notes: There is a specimen in the Louvre (RF 2662), which is signed and dated, ‘David 1838’. It also has the foundry signature of Eck & Durand. David also executed a marble bust of Saint-Just. Jean-Georges-Eck (1795- 1863) & Pierre Durand (1794–1880). 3.
