Highlights include a sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a lovely young woman holding a book and sitting next to a piano, housed in a patriotic union case, Constitution and the Laws [Berg 1-56]; a sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of an austere gentleman posed with a writing implement in his hand, a sheet of paper and a flat circular implement of some kind on the table below, housed in a full pressed paper case; and a sixth plate tintype standing portrait of a woman holding onto the top rail of a chair with one hand and holding what appears to be a cased image in the other, housed in a half pressed paper case. 2 images housed in union cases, 3 images housed in full pressed paper cases, 2 images housed in half pressed paper cases, and one image housed under mat, glass, and preserver (no case.) Condition: Images with varying degrees of tarnish, wipe marks, and clouding. Cases with general wear including soil and loss to finish. One half case (housing sixth plate ambrotype) with heavy wax and other residue.
