Rain-in-the-Face (ca 1835-1905) was one of the leaders of the Fetterman and Custer massacres. Barry recalled him coming to his gallery, taking off his moccasins, and after handing them to Barry, saying, Keep them as long as you live, when you look at them think of Rain-In-The-Face. Now, I say good-bye to you, and my heart is on the ground, walking away bare-footed.
