Also present: 32 instalments of the New series (numbered 1-14 and 17-34), containing the now numbered plates 1-84, 97-122, 124-197, 199-204 (plates 135 and 171 occurring twice and w. seemingly incorrect numbering). In instalment 24 of the New series a title-page has been loosely added of the 4th volume, dated 1821. The work apparently started to appear in 1815, because the first instalment of the first series is dated 1815 on the cover. In very good condition and in beautiful colouring. A complete run of this rare work should have 659 plates on 647 leaves. Henry Bohn took over the remaining copies of this second edition and issued them in 1835 with new title-pages, carrying the date 1835. - Nissen, BBI 440; Stafleu & Cowan, 1286.
