Lot of 14 early views of Cuba and Bermuda including 10 rare circa 1860 E. Anthony views of Cuba, shot by by George N. Barnard (6 on ivory & early yellow mounts & 4 on red-orange Anthony 1870s mounts), titled on the verso labels in English and Spanish: No. 6 View of the Treasury Building from the Plaza, with the Church of San Domingo in the Distance, Havana.; No. 27 Bird's Eye View of the Harbor and City of Havana, from the Cabana, looking towards the Tacon prison.; No. 58 Instantaneous View, The Captain General's Palace, In the street is a band of musicians who are performing to raise subscriptions for the relief of the sufferers by the bombardment of Tetuan.; No. 94 View of the Harbor of Havana from the Iron Sugar Warehouse.; No. 118 Plantation Scene, View in front of a Barracoon.; No. 120 Plantation Scene, Interior of a Sugar Mill.; No. 123 View on the River St. John's, Matanzas, the water boat.; the scarce No. 126 A Game of Billiards at Matanzas.; No. 127 Instantaneous View, From the Dominica looking towards the Plaza.; and Plantation View, a Barracoon, with groups, &c.; PLUS an unrelated 1859 E. Anthony view, No. 6 The Model of King Solomon's Temple. Also in the lot are 2 Kilburn views of Bermuda, attributed to Heyl, titled on recto 1855 His Excellency Major-General J.H. Lefroy, Governor of Bermuda, and his Family., and 1893 Residence of Thomas Moore the Poet, Walsingham, Bermuda. In addition, an America Illustrated/Tourist series view(not a copy) attributed to Seaver, No. 59 Panorama, St. Thomas, W.I.. Provenance: The Ed Burchard Stereoview Collection Condition: Overall bright and clear. The Billiard view mount is trimmed at left edge (not in photo). Mounts show some soiling with minor dust soil to the edges of a few views.
