Full red morocco by Duru, triple gilt fillet on covers, spines gilt, gilt inner dentelles, g.e. binder's mark on front fly-leaves, dated 1861 (a little rubbed). Provenance : Thomas Powell (armorial bookplate). A COMPLETE SET OF ALL OF THE PLAYS BY THE BROTHERS CORNEILLE, all with the correct dates as indicated by Willems who notes 'cette collection est difficile runir... Comme chacune des pices se vendait sparment, et qu' mesure qu'elles taient puises on en faisait des rimpressions moins belles, il convient galement de s'assurer si toutes sont de bonne date'.
