AN APPARENTLY UNIQUE, EARLY FRENCH HOUSEHOLD BOOK, giving advice on matters of food, health, hygiene, mental health, and beauty. The recipes and instructions range from how to make vinegar, to turn bad wine into good, improve one's singing voice, improve memory, catch fish and fowl by hand, whiten the face and hands, protect against wrinkles, and get rid of mouse and rats at home and moles in the garden. Of bookish interest are recipes for cleaning oil stains from paper and parchment and protecting against ink stains on paper. According to the table of contents, the work is complete. It appears not to be recorded, attesting to the fragile survival of such works of daily, practical use.
