A collected set of first editions of the three voyages, London 1773-1784, with all of the engraved charts and plates for the First and Second Voyages bound apart in atlas format; the Third Voyage with 24 charts in the text volumes and its atlas of charts and plates. Together 8 vols., 4to, 275 x 215mm. (10 7/8 x 8 1/2in.) and 3 vols., atlas folio, 523 x 377mm. (20 5/8 x 14 7/8in.) and smaller, uniformly bound in red-rose crushed levant morocco, gilt tooled in Robert Adam style with linked palmette borders on covers, smooth spines in six compartments (atlases in eight compartments) gilt lettered and tooled with patera repeated thrice and a variety of other neo-classical tools, board edges gilt hatched, turn-ins ruled in gilt, blue endpapers, g.e., by Aquarius of London with their gilt stamp on lower turn-in of first volume.
