Title engraved within architectural border, full-page engraved device of Philip II of Spain on recto of L4, engraved device of the Accademia degli Affidati on verso of M2 and 107 (of 114) devices of the members of the Accademia. (Lacking final gathering 2R which wasn't planned at first, title relaid, *6 shorter, mounted, remargined and possibly supplied from another copy, 2B2-2B3 shorter at bottom margin, 2B4 and 2G1 with repaired tears with loss, 2Q4 remargined and shorter at outer margin, occasional soiling, some marginal repairs, ink drawing to top margin of R3 recto.) The volume was first planned to end with signature 2Q. At the end of the text on the recto of leaf 2Q4 is a register and colophon, with errata on the verso. Leaf 2R1, lacking in this copy, repeats the text from 2Q4 recto, and the same page of errata is reprinted on leaf 2R7 verso. The recto of leaf 2R8 has a list of added devices in the new signature, device, register including 2R, and colophon. The verso of 2R8 is blank.
