Covers battles, Confederate leaders, Lincoln's assassination and the hunt for Booth. A manuscript index of all subjects is tipped in at front. The original book is volume 3 of the Pacific Railroad Surveys. A truly rare and unique volume. Lot Amendments Condition: Wear, soiling, and rubbing to binding, remnants of a paper label on spine, a bit of loss to spine ends; hinges starting, toning and scattered foxing to interior; very good.
