Designed to instruct the news media about the Apollo Command and Service Module (CSM), this reference is signed and inscribed by fifteen Apollo astronauts who flew the CSM. The first tabbed section divider, labeled "Apollo Program," is SIGNED and INSCRIBED with individual Apollo mission numbers by: Buzz ALDRIN, Alan BEAN, Charles CONRAD, Walt CUNNINGHAM, Charles M. DUKE, Jr, Richard GORDON Fred HAISE, Edgar MITCHELL, Wally SCHIRRA, Dave SCOTT, Tom STAFFORD and Al WORDEN. The second tabbed divider labeled "Apollo Spacecraft" is additionally SIGNED and INSCRIBED with individual Apollo mission numbers by Gene CERNAN, James LOVELL and Rusty SCHWEICKART. This is the 1969 edition with some July 1971 revised pages added. The revised page insertions in some cases have caused redundancies or gaps in the pagination. 9 by 11 inches. Over 320 pp. With extensive diagrams and photographs including two large fold-out sheets; these feature the entire CSM with escape tower and the interior of the Command Module and have over 38 identification labels each. 35 multi-colored tab section dividers, punched. Illustrated black paper wrappers. Detached from wrappers, likely a result of the 1971 revisions being inserted—evidently a working, newsroom copy. Sold as is.
