Accompanied by a photocopy of a handwritten note by the late husband of the consignor: "August Schutt was a linotype operator or typesetter for the Oakland newspaper that printed the San Francisco Call=Chronicle=Examiner on April 19, 1906. He saved these newspapers that I bought at an estate sale at the Schutt House on Hazel St. Oakland (or maybe Berkeley)."
